Issue with making virology inaccessible is that viruses cause extreme damage to the round. They can gib, kill, or otherwise hinder everyone.

It's really no fun when everyone's laying on the floor, pretty much braindead, because of a brainrot outbreak. Trust me.

something fun ive played when i was on urist was a game mode called scom and basicaly it spawn everyone in a base, and there are three groups , the soldiers the medics and the scientists, and you have time to get gear and get on the shuttle before you recive a mission from command, and it could be something like a ship raided by pirates or a base infested with xenos, and you clear the mission with the soldiers and medics and retriev the items from the area and bring it back to base where the scientists research it and give the soldiers and medics better gear for their missions.

How about, ZVirus. We could be on the station chillin all cool and shootin' some b-ball outside of the Holodeck until a couple of centcomm peeps updated us with a little ZVirus going on at CC and how they sent an ERT squad or some shit to our Station to like, save us or some shit and they turned out to be zambabes and they would attack us and and and umm, it would give the warden/Cargo something to do such as hand out survival packs or weapons and shit and and. I have more ideas my mind can think of umm, but yeah Zombies.
